D R E A M
The distances between a Sonata in Stilus Fantasticus by Biber and the minimalism of Karl Richter are shortened, while the dreamlike tones of John Cage are reflected in Rognoni’s diminutions alla bastarda. The viola da gamba imitating a violin, and in turn a violin disguising itself as a theorbo. A chameleonic labyrinth of references and correspondences through the phases of sleep.
Dream is an hour-long show conceived by Acciaccatura and created by the choreographer Marina Ares. The musicians perform the entire program by heart, allowing them to move around the different locations on stage. Minimalism and baroque music are the protagonists of this program; the hybridisation of both and its staging generate a narrative journey inspired by circadian rhythms that will lead the audience to consciously experience the different phases of sleep.
